Carmine Nino is Board Member and Public Affairs Director at UTOPIA Brussels, where he leads advocacy and lobbying strategies for international clients in their engagement with the Institutions of the European Union.
Carmine coordinates high-level stakeholder engagement activities, supporting companies and organizations in shaping strategic positioning on European legislative dossiers.
He holds a degree in Economics and a Master’s in Communication, Management and Finance of NGOs from the University of Rome Tor Vergata.
From 2013 to 2018, he worked at the European Parliament as Advisor to the First Vice-President of the European Parliament and President of the S&D Group. In this role, he coordinated major political and institutional initiatives, actively contributing to European legislative processes and to dialogue with governments and international stakeholders.
Between 2015 and 2016, he served as Administrative Officer for the Department of Urban Planning and Territory of the Calabria Regional Government.
From 2018, he was Head of Office to a Member of the European Parliament serving on the ECON Committee, contributing to the Member’s re-election for the 2019–2024 parliamentary term.
He joined UTOPIA in 2019, embarking on a new professional chapter focused on European public affairs and on the strategic positioning of companies and organizations within the EU regulatory framework.
