Sonia currently works at UTOPIA as EU Partnerships and Advocacy Manager in the Brussels office, where she leads advocacy initiatives and strategic partnerships at the EU level.
Born and raised between Catanzaro and Beirut, she holds a bachelor degree in Linguistic Mediation and a Masters degree in Communication and International Cooperation. During an Erasmus in European Studies in Antwerp, she first arrived in Belgium, planning to stay just three months. Six years later, she’s still here, driven by her passion for international environments and European politics.
Before joining UTOPIA, Sonia worked at POLITICO Europe, where she built a career in business development, managing relationships with major international and institutional clients.
Fluent in Italian, English, and Arabic, and proficient in French. She is passionate about Middle Eastern geopolitics and enjoys belly dancing, reggaeton, salsa, and bachata.
